Adult dogs need to be fed between 2-3% of their ideal body weight per day, when raw feeding.
This ensures your sustaining your dogs ideal body weight and body condition.
For example, if your dog is healthy and weighs 10KG, this would be their ideal weight to maintain. To keep them healthy they require between 2-3% of 10KG per day. In this example your dog would need between 200-300g of raw dog food each day.
We recommend starting your adult dog at 2% and closely monitoring their weight over the first few weeks they are raw fed, and adjusting this daily amount based on whether they lose or gain weight. Like us human, each dog will have a different level of activity and metabolism.
If your dog is underweight or overweight then the amount of raw dog food to feed will need to be adjusted.
Our guide is just as a first reference, we always recommend paying careful attention to their weight ongoing and adjust.
